Academic Counseling

Great job, you’re ready to move to Academic Counseling!

Counselors are an integral part to your education at CCS. They are here to help and answer your questions. Here are a couple of ways counselors can help you:

  1. Help you identify your educational pathway and goals.
  2. Offer career counseling.
  3. Answer transfer questions.
  4. Work with you in addressing issues that affect academic success.
  5. Provide personal and transitional counseling.

Student privacy

Student privacy is always a priority for counselors. All information shared is kept confidential unless:

  1. You contemplate injuring yourself or other people.
  2. You committed or intend to commit a crime or harmful act.
  3. You are thought to be involved in child abuse.
  4. You are thought to be involved in abuse of a dependent adult.
  5. You find it necessary to file suit against another counselor.
  6. A court issues a subpoena demanding release of information.

Don’t hesitate to talk to a counselor today. Come to the Counseling Center or give us a call (phone numbers below).
