CCS accepts applications throughout the year for adjunct
(part-time) academic employee positions. A CCS Recruiting
Interest Questionnaire and resume are required to
apply. To ensure your experience is given full consideration,
you may select up to 14 areas on the questionnaire in
which you feel qualified to teach. As vacancies occur,
the department screens applications, then contacts applicants
directly.
Adjunct academic employees are given
contracts for each class assigned and generally do not
instruct more than 66 percent of a full-time load per
quarter. A master's degree or vocational equivalent
is required. Additional qualifications are listed on
the announcement. Payment per contact hour varies depending
on the source of class funding and the mode of instruction
(lecture, lab, etc.) for the class itself.
