About the CCS Foundation
Supporting students is the heart of the CCS Foundation. Since 1973, the Foundation has worked to improve educational access for students and enhance programs at the Community Colleges of Spokane.
CCS Foundation Board
Welcome to the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) Foundation’s website. Since its inception in 1972, the foundation has been committed to supporting the Community Colleges of Spokane and its students. We have an opportunity to renew and reinforce the foundation’s core priorities – scholarships, program support and planned giving – while pursuing new opportunities and initiatives to improve educational access for our students and enhance programs and services at Spokane Community College and Spokane Falls Community College. We have the opportunity to take a solid, successful philanthropic base to the next level.
The foundation’s assets currently total around $25 million. We manage 78 endowment funds valued at just over $7 million. This past year, our 16th Touch the Future House was built with proceeds from the sale benefitting scholarship funding, and our Alumni Association went virtual with LinkedIn! Our Foundation special events like the Bigfoot Golf Classic and Wine and Gourmet Gala raised more than $80,000 and continue to be community favorites, selling out once again.
More than half of our students need some type of financial aid or assistance. Our campuses face serious program and staff development challenges as state funding contracts. There is no better – or more critical time – to support the CCS Foundation.
