Health Insurance

LewerMark HEALTH INSURANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SFCC/SCC F-1 INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS.

The cost each quarter (3 months) is $328.44 for an F-1 student.

All F-1 students will be charged for medical insurance when they register for classes unless they provide proof of current government sponsorship.

F-1 and J-1 students who have dependents accompanying them during their study at CCS must purchase a separate medical insurance for them. People on a F-2 or J-2 visa can find information on obtaining insurance here.

The SFCC and SCC International Office must receive documention showing each F-1 or J-2 dependent is enrolled in the recommended insurance plan each quarter.  If you need assistance signing your F-2 or J-2 dependents up for medical insurance, please contact Teresa Gay at Teresa.Gay@ccs.spokane.edu to make an appointment.

ONLY EXCEPTION: Government-sponsored students who give a copy of their financial guarantee by the 5th day of each quarter to the Global Education Program Coordinator do not have to buy LewerMark health insurance.

• If you do not give your financial guarantee to your Program Coordinator by the 5th day of each quarter, you must purchase LewerMark insurance with no refund.
