Literary London

London Study Abroad

London's literary history is a long one: from William Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling, from Jane Austen to Charles Dickens, British writers have captured readers' interest. The Literary London study abroad program lets students explore the best of old and modern Britain – studying masterpieces of English literature in England. Students will spend about four weeks in London, visiting the museums, libraries and neighborhoods that helped shape the great works read in class. Excursions to cities including Bath and Dover are in development.

The course will begin at SCC on July 6th, and we plan to be in London from July 17th to August 17th (the current dates are subject to change). The class will offer fully transferable Literature and Composition credit, and the instructors will work with students to design individual schedules.
