New student:
Never attended CCS credit classes

STEP 1:
Apply online or obtain an admissions application from the IEL center nearest you. (Note: IEL admissions applications and student credit class registrations are processed through SFCC.)

IEL locations

Complete the application and return it a $25 nonrefundable fee to the IEL center nearest you. A check, MasterCard or VISA can be used to make payment. Do not send cash through the mail!

STEP 2: Official transcripts from other colleges need to be sent to the IEL center nearest you. These must be received before registration.

Coursework from other colleges may be used to verify math and English skills, to satisfy prerequisite and degree requirements, or for general advising purposes when an official transcript is received in the original sealed envelope.

STEP 3: Follow the steps in your admission letter. All first-time college students must complete placement testing and a new student orientation to register for classes. Students who complete these steps early receive priority registration dates. There is a required fee of $30 for testing.

STEP 4. Register online.

STEP 5: After completing registration, you have the following options for tuition and fee payments:

>> Pay online by the due date with MasterCard or VISA.

>> Pay in person by the due date at the IEL center nearest you.

Paying tuition by mail is not advised because we may not receive and process your payment by the due date.

STEP 6: If you originally applied for a different quarter than you expected to attend, contact the IEL center nearest you to update your records.
