Worker retraining at CCS

Worker Retraining is a partnership between Washington's community and technical colleges and the Washington State Employment Security Department to provide job training for dislocated workers, people on unemployment, those facing imminent layoffs, displaced homemakers and the formerly self-employed. Worker Retraining funds also may be available for employees who, in order to remain employed, need to obtain new skills.

Community Colleges of Spokane has funding available to help these workers build and enhance their job skills, building a pathway to a new career. Eligible Worker Retraining students receive career counseling and retraining in a variety of career and technical fields. Short-term programs also are available. Assistance with tuition and books also may be available.
