Where do I get an application?
Most students apply online. You can also download a paper application from SFCC/IELor SCC.
What role do high school grades play in acceptance?
None.

No.
What percentage of students are accepted?
We have an open-door policy. That means every student with a high school diploma or GED will be accepted. However, certain programs may have wait-lists and/or prerequisites. Work closely with your counselor so you can get the classes you need and graduate as efficiently as possible.

What is a placement test?
Placement tests assess your readiness for college-level classes in English and math. All students must take an assessment test before beginning college-level work. The tests cost $20. Find out more about testing at SCC or SFCC.
Do I have to take SAT or ACT tests?
No! We do not accept SAT or ACT tests. Instead, first-time students are required to take a placement test. This test helps us determine your readiness for college-level classes in English and math.
