University transfer programs
A great way to start
CCS graduation

You can start a bachelor's degree at Community Colleges of Spokane.  We work closely with in-state colleges and universities to help make your transfer as easy and successful as possible.  Most students transfer after earning an associate's degree, which takes approximately two years.

Transfer agreements

We have transfer agreements will all public and most private universities in Washington.  These transfer agreements mean that if you take the right courses, your credits will transfer.  Transfer agreements include general degrees like associate of arts (AA) and associate of science transfer (AST) and more specific Direct Transfer Agreements (DTA) in specific subject areas.

Will my credits transfer?

Your future college ultimately will decide whether to accept your credits.  However, virtually all Washington colleges and universities accept our credits, as well as many out-of-state institutions.

Hints for a successful transfer:

1.      Visit your academic counselor often.  Our counselors are crucial to a smooth transition to  four-year universities.  Your counselor can evaluate your transcript and help you choose classes.  The most important times to visit your counselor are when you: register for classes, change your major, or decide on your future university.

2.      Decide on your future university as soon as possible.  Each university has slightly different transfer policies.  Choose your future university early to learn about and fulfill all their admission requirements.

3.      Decide on your major as soon as possible.  Different majors require different general education classes.  The earlier you choose your major, the better chance you have of selecting the most efficient courses toward your degree.
